Whiplash can be a genuine injury that is painful long term. My son got whiplash 6 years ago, the physiology he needs has cost more than any compensation. The injury affects his sleep and his ability to do his sport.
It's a shame that a plethora of fraudulent claims have turned some ph'ers into self righteous tossers.

Whiplash can be very serious. But, a car running into the back of a bus at 13mph does not lead to whiplash, it leads to the lesser whipcash, where the only recognisable symptom is pound signs rolling around the victims eyes.It's a shame that a plethora of fraudulent claims have turned some ph'ers into self righteous tossers.

Spurious personal injury claims infuriate me. The majority of people will complain about high insurance prices, yet will quite happily claim with no real injury, adding to their and everyone else premiums.
A friend of mine, a driving instructor was involved in a low speed car accident recently. A Ford Transit Tipper hit the rear of his Audi A3 after the girl whom he was teaching stalled at a set of traffic light, thus the impact speed was low. The damage resulted in a new bumper for the Audi and a replacement number plate needed for the Transit, yet despite the evidence of a low speed impact with no real damage to either vehicles the girl felt the need to claim for ‘whiplash’. Pathetic!
I imagine being the passenger involved in an accident similar to the above would result in worse injuries as you have nothing to brace yourself against, unlike the driver who has the steering wheel. Despite this my friend was back teaching the next day, without the need to make a personal injury claim, yet the girl needed a day off work and physio.
I apologise to the OP if his claim is in fact genuine, but the trend today suggests not.

Wife was hit from behind yesterday while stationary..hard enough to move her car forwards and cause almost £2000 damage to the back of her car. She doesnt remotely feel sore and even if she, did a box of Paracetemol would be all she got. Its just an easy way to make 3 grand now days, and the mentality seems to be 'well everyone else does it so why shouldn't I?'
I genuinely did get whip lash and concussion when a old boy steemed into the side of my van hard enough to spin it 180*s. I was looking sideways at the point of impact and really twisted my neck like a poxy owl. Took pain killers for a couple of weeks and MTFU. Genuine sufferers should get compo and it shouldnt be assumed EVERYONE is a scrounger...even though sadly most are

Is that because of the many (pompous self serving) law industry workers (many on here) who have encouraged and hugely benefited from claims like this? No wonder Joe muggins thinks its ok if they bend or get taught how to bend the truth. Better go and check on everyone involved - everyone OK?

Possibly because the whole story is very likely to not be true.
