Parking charge

Hi Sold my car and 2 days later the new owner parked it to long at ASDA. I got the parking charge sent to me. I sent them the new owners contact info and prof the car insurance was stopped at the date I said. I no longer live in the UK. How do I show them I did not own the car at that time? Any ideas much appreciated.

You will have been sent a letter by the DVLA confirming you are no longer liable for the vehicle. If you have not received it then you can ask for a copy.

I am giving that a go, a bit hard as I do not live in the UK.

I phoned ASDA (the branch) and they said sorry and they cleared it. Worth a go if any one find they have the same problem
