Yep,

Problem now is not my solicitors, its those of the housing association whose dodgy document wasn't picked up by my old solicitor or my purchasers (I did boot my old one off over Easter)

Turns out that the person doing it isn't in today to issue....if I get it tomorrow apparently depending on time it could possibly happen (if i dogs body it around getting signed and my buyers transfer their deposit in time) or worst case if it went to Monday they said a friday completion may be possible if the mortgage co's play ball and release funds in 4 days....

And after getting the housing association to chase their own solicitor the process could now be back on...

Lets hope we can now exchange tomorrow!!!

Well a bit more progress...

Exchanged on the sale of my flat yesterday, complete on Tuesday

Didn't manage to get the purchase exchanged yesterday however (needed confirmation that mortgage co. would release funds in time - mortgage offer expires on Tuesday night!) - that came through today and typically the vendors (executors) have been un-contactable - admittedly only called at 15:30 or so...so not exchanged on the purchase yet...lets hope for the morning!!!

She is the Partner....
I had a very similar situation with a conveyancing solicitor I was put in touch with. I e-mailed her and she called me within an hour or two. Went through the details and all was well.

Couple of weeks past and nothing, so e-mailed her. Then e-mailed again with no response so called and left messages with her PA etc. Eventually after six weeks of hearing nothing I went and had a chat with a friend of mine (who's a senior associate) who advised me on how to word an e-mail to her basically saying I no longer wanted her working for me, I wouldn't be paying any fees etc.

Because I'd never been sent a client care letter or equivalent even if she'd told me she'd started work on what I needed, she have no legal way charge me anyway.

I made sure I copied other partners within the firm in on that e-mail and surprise surprise I got no response at all. Bunch of jokers!!
