Just heard George Galloway ( of all people) on Jeremy Vine suggesting that in the present circumstances there are a lot of retired Police and military who could join the Specials and therefore make us all safe.
I have only two words to offer Mr Galloway, the second of which is 'off'.
Agreed Galoway is a BELL END .......I have only two words to offer Mr Galloway, the second of which is 'off'.
It's all OK. Prime Minister David Cameron made the following statement; "We will do all we can to supply our police and intelligence agencies with the resources and the capabilities they need." Theresa May said the same.
This is of course totally removed from reality, but if they say it often enough, the gullible will believe it.

I like the quote of armed response being 20 minutes away. If only, eh?This is of course totally removed from reality, but if they say it often enough, the gullible will believe it.

Mind you, I agree with:

. . . reminded myself and others of the platitudes [Cameron] uttered in the immediate aftermath of the tragic death of Merseyside PC, Dave Phillips. Yet just two days later, when grandstanding at the Tory party conference, Cameron's only reference to police was to accuse its officers of racism.
The article, for once, is not London centric. Whilst there would be greater coverage of an atrocity in the capital, or other metropolitan area, terrorists must be aware of the coverage outside, in towns and cities.
Not that I believed his original supportive comments. The article, for once, is not London centric. Whilst there would be greater coverage of an atrocity in the capital, or other metropolitan area, terrorists must be aware of the coverage outside, in towns and cities.
Phew! This is getting boring now. It isnt like anyone was conscripted into the police. If you dont like it look for a different job.
I wonder why we dont see any threads opened by teachers, doctors and even soldiers moaning continuosly.
If the police spent as much effort doing their job as they do moaning, we would have a very fine police service.

Not half as boring as you, but as you said it can you point out the threads opened by police officers saying they dont like their jobs? I love mine but I hate the fact that it is being made more difficult by having more and more staff taken away from me. This thread is talking about the suggestion that the shortfall should be picked up by retirees not people moaning about their job. I suppost though that you ignore that so you think you can justify another dig at the old bill. I wonder why we dont see any threads opened by teachers, doctors and even soldiers moaning continuosly.

I also think you will find that there are numerous mitary forums full of people moaning on threads. I dare say a teaching forum would be similar. Go on, go and see for yourself how happy the squaddies are.
So not 'speed teachers and the law' or 'speed armed forces and the law'..... Still stuggling to see why teachers and squaddies arent here?

Controversial. Perhaps safer to say they are equal as we don't want any ill feeling.
Hmmm maybe but I still think RH is a close second to eclassy. Mainly because he hasnt added any stupid videos but his odd bet about an air ambo donation he lost and never paid (or some such car crash of a post) could make up for it......maybe. Rovinghawk said:

As soon as all the people who've retired from the private sector go and do their jobs for free.
They only get to retire when they're on their last legs.Rovinghawk said:
