Personally I think they got off lightly, and that's if they pay the fines at all..

I once got fined £1000 just for driving with an expired tax disc. I would probably have got the electric chair if I did what they did!

Just checking in to report that I survived the run down to Essex (unlike the tractor on the A1 just south of Grantham - the big 4x4 tractor and plough was on its side on the southbound grass verge, and something I didn't spot had ended up through the Armco and in the ditch on the northbound side. All three emergency services were there very promptly, which was something.)

Just the run back oop north later on.......rolleyes
