That is entirely plausible... frown 33 in a 30 is easily doable as well...

May just take this on the chin. My insurance is gonna love this...

If I don't win the court case what are likely outcomes?

And yep arrived at the registered keeper's address (my address)
If your only defence is you don't believe you were speeding, you won't win.
Likely outcome is more points and bigger fine.
FPN is as good as you'll get.
He may yet be furnished with photographs proving the speed WAS below that stated on the ticket.
He should at least ask to see the pictures, and ask his postman if he remembers delivering the ticket.
If he has the envelope, it may even be dated well after the event.

Sorry to bump an old thread.

You only have to sit out one more month before it expires though? They have to lodge the papers at court before the 6 months from the date of offense.
How accurate is this? It will be 6months from the date the offence took place on the 8th...

Wait for a summons plopping onto your doormat, in a couple of months - with an "information laid" date dated before 8th Dec 2015?

No... "They" wouldn't issue an FPN after 5 months, as it will easily "time out" past the 6 months "information laid before the court" date - which argument would be interesting in court should you not pay the FPN wink (this is not an option as "they" are allergic to this kind of thing, and tend to get it right especially in terms of not laying info when an FPN is still valid wink ).

Please can you upload the FPN stating that you were caught at 33 in a 30, attaching the pics to Photobucket or similar then pasting the [IMG] links on here?

Happily:

Posted this in another thread about 4 months back when I first received the FPN

Again, I believe Northern Ireland does this differently to mainland UK!

Suggest you contact the court on the 8th and see if "information" has been laid (the six months is up on the 7th).

If it hasn't, take notes of who you talk to etc etc, so if anything turns up later it can be brought up in court.

The NZ police have lower threshold for speeding over the festive period, normally 10k over is OK, now only 5k over gets a ticket. I had one this time last year for 55k in a 50, police dropped it as the camera van operator was on long term sick leave! (The fine was 15 pounds).

I would call the issuing office and tell them the NIP was issued outside of the 14 day requirement and if they don't cancel it immediately I'd take the evidence of that to court.

In my experience an SP30 does absolutely nothing to insurance.

I have a clean licence now but when I was younger, 21 I think, it never made any difference to my quotes.

Checked both with and without points and it never changed and this is with a few different insurers.

This was in the england though so not sure about NI.
