Had one company keep robot calling me, eventually I got fed up and pressed the "I want to talk to you" button. A day or so later I got a bloke from a company. I asked him his company, he was hesitant to respond but I finally got a name,
I then asked him to give me details of the accident he was calling about,
"But you contacted us"
"Yes, only after your automatic system keep calling me, now, what accident are you referring to?"
"I can't divulge than information"
"Even after you chased me to call you? Do you know what harassment is?"

And the more medical reads/expert reports/lawyers that get involved in the process the HIGHER the costs will be. If InsCos resolved it amongst themselves it would be cheaper than getting ambulance chasers involved. Not sure why this point is so difficult to grasp?


Yes, they all do it. But that doesn't make it efficient and it's the policyholders that end up picking up the tab.

Bang your head all you like but you don't seem to understand the simplest of simple concepts here.

My insurance company fixes my car and claims that money back if I have a non fault accident. If I suffer an injury I can ONLY claim off the other insurer. I am not insured for this via my insurer. They don't pay anything to me. They have no liability for this. They can have no direct involvement in settling the claim for injury.

So what exactly can my insurer resolve with the injury claim with the other insurer?

You seem to think you've fixed insurance, but you've not even grasped the basic bit.

I think you seem to think that if we stop referring injury claims then they will magically disappear. Have you seen daytime TV adverts?Have you seen the level of advertising on the Internet in printed media etc to try to get people to claim? Have you seen the plethora of CMCs who exist as claims farmers and parasites. The point is that insurers can either earn or not earn from the non-faults, but the fault claims are coming in either way and they're coming with a thinly disguised referral fee built into the costs incurred.

Did you get a quote for your bike insurance through the bike insurer or another price comparison website? If so they sell details on. You should've declared your car accident on your motorbike proposal (I bet you didn't though and we're about to have a tangential NCD vs claims discussion now).

They will have sold your details on. If you declared the claim then they will have assumed it was on the bike. If you didn't then it's simply a fishing exercise.
Bike insurance renewed in June, accident was included on the quote on the comparison sites so guess that sent them fishing and the date was a bit of a guess by them. Mystery's solved smile

Well known ploy from the parasites.

"It's about your claim from May"
You: "I didn't have a claim in May, it was August"
Them:"oh yes that's right, my mistake. Anyway the insurer has put £850m to one side just for you already and all you have to Sonia fill in this form and we'll send you the cheque"

The frustration for menus hat when my staff ring up tontrybtingenuinely discuss your ongoing claim, we have to ask you for some details and it looks like we're fishing. If you're not sure then ask your insurer to note the call on your file and then ring your insurer back with the number you have on record. Make sure you hear a dialling tone first though. This loophole is being fixed by year end thankfully.

We got a local bodyshop to repair sme rust on my wife's MX5 over three years ago and she's still getting calls about the accident she's had. Sue tells them politely and firmly that she hasn't had an accident , I tell them to fk off , but it makes no difference - still the calls come furious
