If you didn't have the sticker, you wouldn't have had any bib having a good look at the reg plate in the first place
I doubt it. TooMany2cvs said:
I think you were being given the benefit of the doubt as to whether it was the way you were driving that attracted their attention...
TBH it was one of those rare occasions when I had had to alert another driver to my presence on the road (they had clearly not seen the bright yellow car...). A passing Plain clothes officer unfortunately had a minor memory lapse as to the rules and regs surrounding the use of a car horn and so he and I had a discussion about it. They were so pleased that I was able to show, by reference to the Highway Code, that they were mistaken that they spent a good 10 minutes inspecting the car in detail.
If they had had a clue about the sticker not being in strict accordance with the rules and regs I am sure that they would have delighted in providing me with paper proof of their displeasure. As it is it would appear that traffic policing was not their strong point.

No not legal and yes you might be pulled at some point. I have pulled many cars for these stickers and other horrible illegal alterations.
.
Good to know you're doing something useful with your time.............

Exactly. If you are not pro active going out stopping people, you will never find the drink/drug drivers, wanted people or unearth more serious offences.
Mis spaced number plates are a particular problem at the moment and will always results in a £100 fixed penalty.
Things such as these...
Why people think they look good i'll never know!
Out of interest, if it wasn't for the illegally space lettering, would you still pull them for it? The tagline is questionable and the image is not a proper Euro flag but the font is correct and the rules would technically permit them to cut the plate down and stick the picture and text on the car.Mis spaced number plates are a particular problem at the moment and will always results in a £100 fixed penalty.

Not that I've done the same, just curious.

Glad to hear it.There should be a special division set up solely to deal with the cock sockets who can't leave their plates alone.
