No it doesn't. That page you linked to said that it often happens. The legislation makes no demand on the accompanying person to be insured.Bert
Slightly OT. My longest driving lesson was when the instructor fell asleep and I kept going away from base for about an hour. He wasn't best pleased when he woke up and we had an hours drive back again. I didn't realise it was illegal though! Would it have been me who got prosecuted or him?
