He really isn't. Let's see how many successful defences of his title he makes, then we'll know for sure.
And the answer was.....none!
Twig, have you spent much time in the ring?
None at all. However, I don't think a boxer who wins a world title but never successfully defends it can be described as "a great".

Well done you answered your own question. smile

Tyson Fury is rated by BoxRec as pound for pound the world's sixth best boxer (W25 L0 KOs18).

He relinquished his titles after suffering 'health' problems. I can talk about how the pressure to succeed affects the mental health of sportspeople if you like but I'm sure you're aware of a number of examples from different sports of people who don't cope well, it's not a new concept - but the fact Fury voluntarily dropped his titles isn't proof he wasn't a great boxer, a good boxer or any kind of boxer!

Possibly, but better manners than to resurrect an old thread to mock someone who is undergoing mental health issues.

I'd agree, his views on homosexuality and women do indicate some sort of mental health problem.

No, they reflect his opinion. The fact people don't share the same view as yourself is not an indication of "some sort of mental health problem".

Ok, I thought it was obvious that I wasn't being entirely serious. I guess not biggrin

What his opinions are indicative of are a lack of education and ignorance.

His opinions are abhorent.

No, they are not. They are different from yours, because he's from a travelling background.

As is your spelling. It seems your education may have been lacking somewhat however... . smile

No, what is lacking is my typing especially on a smart phone.

No, his views indicate ignorance and a lack of education. That may be because of his background.

Yes, and people from a travelling background often enjoy a first class education and thus are not ignorant.

It's actually not so much the fault of exucation, more of an insulated existence.
Ignorance and predjudice tends to be broken down by meeting people who you hold ignorant views about.

Actually there are a many ways to break down prejudice, but in your case some self-awareness and an understanding of irony might be a start.

Really?

I don't agree. You were the one who brought his background up not me.

There is nothing ironic in anything I have said.

You're wrong and you know it

I said his views were down to a lack of education and ignorance, you brought his background into it.
