Wasting your time posting about this on here mate.
99% or the people on here are complete fking idiots who spend far to much time tossing it off during work time and know sod all.
But most aren't stupid enough to stop to berate a traffic warden and end up getting a ticket for it.

You don't spend much time in London then, had loads of run in's with them but once your on the move there is nothing they can do.
PCN has to be photographed placed as does the offending vehicle's position.

The majority of CEO's are fair and give us some slack but the big fat one who patrols the North End Road could not catch a cold.

Your on the move what?

That aside, what utter bks.

I've lived in London for 20 years this year and I can count the "run in's" [sic] I've had with traffic wardens on one hand, mostly limited to the, "excuse me, not sure of the rules here is it OK to park" variety. So I think you're doing it wrong.

I guess we should make allowances for the road warriors who believe they should challenge authority at every given opportunity.

Indeed, the idiots can all agree with each other as to why the system is designed to screw them, it wasn't their fault and they didn't do it biggrin

I have no idea. I am thinking have I got this wrong. Was I wrong to pull up beside him to set him straight... in doing so is that considered parking.

I am thinking after all the grief I received on here to either hand myself into a the nearest police station for a life sentence or to cut my wrists. It really is that bad!

I hope you are right! A £55 ticket based on that photo and the lack of evidence is a joke. Well I thought so. I have appealed.

I happen to agree with you. I do wonder about the fools on here. They have no value to add. Just flipping trolls getting cheap thrills.

I dont want someone to agree with me if I am wrong. It's all the troll like comments which surprise me. As you say "people on here are complete fking idiots". That said, there some people who are really helpful and that is why I post. I do see benefit in hearing from them... its just frustrating though having to dig past the trolls.

You didn't answer my question about the LA though.
Also, can you confirm the contravention code please?
I assume it was 01 but certainty would be helpful.
There is no mention of a contravention code. I thought that was odd.
This is now the third time I have asked you which LA issued the PCN.
You seem to have some aversion to answering the question. Why is that?

Re the contravention code, I have never EVER seen a PCN (windscreen or postal) without one.
It will be a 2 digit number (sometimes with a letter suffix in London: see below).
The words contravention code might not be present on the PCN but the number should be.
Either before or after the description of the contravention (sometimes within brackets).
http://www.patrol-uk.info/info/1/parking/23/contra...

Codes used in London Boroughs (including moving traffic contraventions)
http://www.londoncouncils.gov.uk/download/file/fid...
Codes outside London (excludes moving traffic offences: AFAIK at present only Cardiff has such powers outside London)
http://www.patrol-uk.info/patrol/info/1/parking/23...

How about posting up a copy of the PCN (with the number, your personal info, and VRM suitably redacted of course)?

You are sadly misinformed (or in other words: utter bcensoreds).
See: Section 10(1) of The Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (England) General Regulations 2007
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2007/3483/regul...

The OP might be be able to argue his case under Section 10(2). No guarantees though.

OP ignore all the bo*locks from people, I'd fight the ticket too based on that evidence, even if I did park there for 1 minute and knew I was in the wrong.

The CPE was probably wearing a body mounted camera so he will have observed you, it's going to be messy and costly to defend but carry on by all means.

Fvck me, isn't this place full of oddballs, conditioned to just bend over to 'authority' without question.

Sad to see how spineless people have become.

I am hoping he was. I might help! It should show I was not parked up. Let's see what evidence they come up with if any.

My Dad works for the local council and his sole job is dealing with PCN disputes.
I sent him the picture and he said:

If that is the only picture they have (and I doubt it) the driver could say that is not my car and the council would have to cancel it on lack of or insufficient photos.
'parking on restricted street during prescribed hours needs 5 minutes obs so if only 1 minute obs was given it would have to be cancelled.
