I wouldn't get involved, just be quiet and live in awe, much easier.??
OP, good (I guess) that you got offered the SAC rather than points. But, take the blinkers off before you attend: I've had to do a couple, and while the first was rubbish, the most recent was (I hate to say it...) actually good and worthwhile. It focussed extensively on observation and hazard awareness, and wasn't even remotely preachy. Edited by silentbrown on Monday 22 February 13:35
Bristol had a liberal sprinkling of 20 limits in the city centre out outskirts a while ago. Some I am fine with (you naturally keep the speed down as it is built up) but Jacob's Well Road does my head in. If you don't know, it is a reasonably steep hill so doing 20 up it in for most cars / trucks is second gear and I wouldn't be suprised if it causes more pollution. I've done 20 up there on the cruise control, and all i ever get is a personal traffic jam.
