Oh my god, really you lot are arguing about the spelling of a word when you know full well what was meant.

Surely you have jobs/wifes/partners ?????
This aspect of the discussion is not primarily about correct spelling per se. As Rovinghawk has correctly identified, it's about the credibility of a particular posting with regard to how the mis-spelling came about which, by extension, may cause doubt in the mind of readers with regard to other explanations proffered. confusedconfusedconfused

Any credibility you might have had went straight out the window when I read this.

Bad spelling might be forgiven- talking bks won't.
Don't worry, I'll cheer myself up by going for a drive in the 458, I won't be upset at all the bs on here

At last, the penny droppeth.

As someone who was reading this thread with interest, you come across as an immature bellend. Please leave the grown-ups to discuss actual law, which might be of help to others.

But I don't need to resort to name calling like you, shows that my intellect and experience surpasses you by miles (much like when I'm out there driving I suspect!). Excellent, thanks for posting !

But just in the vein of PH rough and tumble are you still asserting that your misspelling was actually an autocorrect error? biggrin

to be honest couldn't care less, everyone knew what was meant. Never known such a bunch of donuts to make such a fuss. Er indoors gets changed to really indoors for example. Still, if it gets their blood pumping, enjoy it

Both, I participate in several forums and in this one, the level of vitriol and personal commenting displayed by a lot of the posters, particularly in this thread, is very high by comparison. You expect to get the odd moron posting, but in this one, they really do hate anyone that has a different opinion/a sense of humour/different experiences/the ability to answer back/success/nice car/add pretty much anything.

As a result, I'm happy to reply and watch their heads explode as they rush to try to pick fault and show their childishness

In fact, here's another event to demonstrate how lucky I must be to keep my licence clean, since apparently there's no way I should have - in 2004, I'm out and about around 2am in the Ferrari 575M, driving from home into Bristol, around the centre, and back out through Easton/eastville and up the fish ponds road (ultimately heading out back through downend and Bromley Heath.

As I get through the lights at Ryatt (?) hill, an unmarked cop goes past the other direction. I'm unconcerned as I'm in the usual taxi/bus late night traffic, and also notice, cop has a headlight out. Still, he is obviously annoyed I'm out, so does a starsky and spins it around a few hundred yards back, and starts hedge hopping through the traffic, and is behind me as we reach the main shopping area. The road splits and he follows. I know he's there, so I'm making sure I'm around the limit, and I turn onto a road which is pretty small, and at night, you get a good few hundred yards which becomes one lane as you pass all the parked cars. As I pull out to pass them, he blues and twos me. I stop immediately, get out, lock the car (blocking the road) and go back, he's fuming, swears at me and tells me I was speeding, so I ask him to calm down, remind him he stopped me, I was not speeding and he well knew it, his cars faulty anyway, and should have been more careful, and asked if its because he wants me to help him get his car off the road for him as its unfit for driving at night with no lights.

He threatens me, so I get on the phone and call it in, refusing to move. The road is blocked. He tells me he will break into my car to move it, but he's smaller than me, as is his mate, so I just tell them I won't allow it, the stop was not genuine, and that I believe he will drive his car if I move and he's dangerous, I'm sure they'd make me park up if it was me.

More cops turn up, including the duty boss, I make them move the car and wait for a mechanic to come out to sort the lights, and then get in my car and go.

While people were initially annoyed, they all saw the funny side at the time, and simply turned around or waited to watch the fun, and I had people bringing me coffee and biscuits out.

For the next few weeks, I was pulled over ten or more times in maybe fifteen drives, each time claiming speeding, or some other rubbish, yet no tickets as they had no proof, eventually I made a formal complaint about the targeting, and things calmed down for a while.

Sorry, am I reading that right? You're saying that you forced a group of officers to wait by the side of the road, at night, whilst a mechanic came and changed the headlight bulb on the cop van, because you wouldn't let them leave otherwise?

False stop is a false stop chaps, their boss took it seriously enough, don't care if you don't.

I'm not trolling anyone, just making a few posts from experience, doesn't match yours, never mind, I'm entitled to an opinion. The only trolls if any are those that personally attack me
