Yeah yeah, seems personal attacks are acceptable on this forum then?
Personal attacks? I don't see any personal attacks. A little light ribbing, yes - and what a boring place a forum would be if there wasn't a place for that... I've already said I don't hate you - and I certainly don't feel even remotely threatened by you. Frankly, I don't much care whether your stories are true or not. I'm sure there's an element of truth under the layers of hyperbole and exaggeration, somewhere. You probably even believe they're 100% true by now.

Still, at least we now know what you meant by...

Maybe it's because I'm a big girly wuss and a cowardy custard, but I certainly wouldn't want to so far on the wrong side of a minicab driver...

Some of these people are just scum, pay your way, or get out. If he's a taxi driver, best way to make sure, week or so before the eviction, make sure that his taxi receives a little TLC worthy of failure at the next council roadworthyness test, he won't be so smug when he hasn't got a job either. They are pretty strict on taxis, clients of mine have had to fund new cars for relatively small issues with a car, as once the car reaches a certain level of problems, even over time, the seems to be some kind of requirement for it to be taken off the road, right then and there. Always good to end up drawing rather than losing when there's no chance of winning smile

Not sure my 458 could be licences as a mini cab somehow, although I do take friends and clients to their weddings, special events, or their kids to proms when asked.... Always nice to be appreciated.

You don't think labelling people liars, or pathetic or anything else you've said is personal then? Strange chap aren't you.

And yet again, why can't people do things differently to you, why be a loser all your life, if you had half the get up and go of me I reckon your life would be a darned sight more interesting and rewarding. Never lose, no matter how you do it, just don't break the law!

TBH, I'd rather be called strange than a hypocrite. You clearly differ.

But not everyone has the same values and goals; I know a chap who went to school with some rather wealthy (£200M+, one multi billionaire), children, none of those really had any inclination to brag or display their wealth.

Also slightly hypocritical, no?

Some people value family, friends, being a parent, wealth, cars or some are just born c***ts and actually think people envy them; although that may be a delusion of grandeur; each tot heir won, the world would be a boring place if we were all the same, although stories, lies and exaggeration are acceptable in some contexts )like an anonymous internet forum!).

Anyway, my yacht awaits, its (14:50) and the Victoria Secrets models need some company.

Can we please get back on topic - some of us are interested in how this pans out - rather than having to wade through pages of unrelated posts.

You may wish to know that the following solicitor's letter is on its way to your letter box.

"How very dare you! We refer to your suggestion that our client was the owner of the Vauxhall Zafira motor car mentioned in a recent newspaper report. We wish to make it clear that our client does not, and never has, owned, driven or been a passenger in the type of vehicle known as a Vauxhall Zafira. Our client has advised us that he has never owned, driven or been a passenger in any vehicle model whatsoever manufactured by the Vauxhall Motor Company. Our client regards your suggestion that he is, or has been, associated in any way with a Vauxhall motor vehicle as a serious calumny which may adversely affect his standing in his community. We require you to withdraw your statement by inserting a prominent notice to that effect on the forum known as PistonHeads where we understand the offending suggestion was first made.

In replying to this letter we especially request that you not refer us to the reply given in the case of Arkell v. Pressdram".

We are pleased to advise you that our client will accept your posting as a retraction of your earlier suggestion with regard to his being associated with a Vauxhall motor car. We have no desire to scare you further. Our client would, of course, been even happier if you had made it clear to the readers of PistonHeads that he engages with the police only when driving Mercedes, Aston Martins or Ferraris. However, we understand from our client that he has already made this clear to other forum members.

That's more like it! smile

However, I do remember in the late 80's having a rather sporty little Opel manta GTE, and in the early 90's a couple of calibras, a turbo and one of the earliest cosworth headed cars, but aside from that, I've never ever ever had a loser cruiser (MPV)

Cos I'm happy to read through these threads, make observations where I like, and enjoy the freedom to post. Why are you here?

I have no idea why you lot are so pissy with anything some of us say, but you may as well not bother, cos you will never ever cause me to care about you or your opinions. It's the Internet, fellas, no one owns it

I presume you realise that to suggest the term piston heads, it would indicate that those involved like cars, driving, etc? Many of you seem to hate it, unless it involves hands at ten to two, a 1 litre pisspot engine, and no speed over 30 in case you get a nosebleed

So still nothing to back up the outrageous claims? Not even a location? And all this from the guy that supposedly blocked a police van in the road to prove he was right?

laugh

Run along, lad. Run along.

Better make sure the local licencing authority don't catch up with you.

To need a licence, you have to charge for your service, I don't, I do it for people who I know to make their day/evening and that appreciate it. Sometimes people give petrol money, some are brassic making their day special and don't, I never ask either way. The food is always nice at weddings, so it's a nice day regardless. Doing a funeral was a bit weird though, but still a good occassion
