To need a licence, you have to charge for your service, I don't, I do it for people who I know to make their day/evening and that appreciate it. Sometimes people give petrol money, some are brassic making their day special and don't, I never ask either way. The food is always nice at weddings, so it's a nice day regardless. Doing a funeral was a bit weird though, but still a good occassion
Best be careful because accepting petrol money or any kind of payment is likely to be construed as "for hire or reward", which may not be covered on your insurance unless explicitly asked for/notified.daytona355 said:

Any "real" pics yet?
There's one on my profile, and another in a different thread, and once someone tells me how to photoshop the number plates out, I can put others upAny "real" pics yet?
One of them must contain a pic of PH Custard on the dash, with ignition switched on,
Please ensure the custard is not out of date - this is not tolerated in here. My email accepts pics larger than 2 MB.
ETA - You need this for attachments - The site does not support them directly.

There's a photo of a Ferrari and a Merc in a garage. With plates visible, just as they would be in the real world...But, given that pic, I think we're getting to the bottom of your issues with being stopped by Plod.
Have you considered insuring either one of them?

Back in 2003/4, I was banging a couple girls in Nottingham, and used to go up and stay in a hotel, driving either one of the maseratis, the Aston, or Ferrari. On a Sunday evening, the centre of town was nicknamed the circuit, as all the boy racers would circulate, and park up alongside the bus depot to chat. I used to pull out and run a few lights with them, and then park and chat, they liked to see the cars. Anyhow, the cops used to make them move if they parked for too long, and one night, I was there when the Feds arrived. They actually thought I would also move, stupid, and while all the chaps drove off, I stayed and argued my point since there was no restriction where I was, and I was entitled to park. They got all beetroot faced, and threatened all sorts, but I stayed there until they gave up and left!
Another top story from the archives
I'm pretty sure Notts chaps will know of the scene at that time, lots of scoobs and evos around at the time

Email them to me and I will do it. You do not need Photoshop to do the manipulation, any photo SW will do this.

In the case where a PH'er posts something that is not believed by the PH masses (hardly ever happens) and pictorial proof could ascertain the facts, the poster is required to post said picture. However to prove that it is not just a pic grabbed from the internet, it has to have a tin of Birds Custard powder in the picture.
So a picture of a Ferrari parked in the middle of the road at a stop with a tin of custard powder on the bonnet, or
A picture of phoning the Chief at a stop holding a tin, or
A picture of banging two birds (each holding a tin) - see what I did there...
I'm not the same as the normal SP&L'er, I really enjoy your posts. Keep on going!

Ooooh, custard. I love custard.
Maybe Daytona can get his police chief constable friend in the shot as well?
Another donut who doesn't look for the pics on his own? Anyone recommend a good optician for these guys? Managed to track me down in this thread from the Mot thread where he makes pointless comments and demonstrates a lack of a sense of humour, then kindly comes over here to try to harass me? Must be love! Sorry mate, I'm not that way inclined..... Girls only, you have NOTHING I would be interested inMaybe Daytona can get his police chief constable friend in the shot as well?
