Driving in Bath at the moment and went through an amber light (guy behind was right up behind me so I couldn't stop safely without him going into the back of me) and I noticed the four way junction has a red light camera.

There was only one red light camera and it was facing me, so there was no red light camera on my side of the road if that makes sense. Does that mean that the only side of the road being caught was coming towards me (as there was no camera looking at the lights I went through, just facing me)

Any help or advice would be greatly received smile

The offence is crossing the stop line on red, not the junction.

Subject to the usual 'amber means the same as red unless unsafe etc', no offence is committed if the line was completely crossed before the lights changed to red, irrespective what colour the lights were when you finished crossing the junction.

Anyway, red light cameras are rear facing not front facing.

So it wouldn't have caught anything if it was forward facing me?

If you were almost across the junction (ie beyond the stop line) before the light changed to red, then you have nothing to worry about either way.
