Just a quick tale, which has ended in my favour....

Back in November I went to visit my parents in Cardiff. Little to my knowledge, there are now bus lane cameras which according to local councillors are to improve traffic flow for commuters.

So, early one Sunday morning, I am driving into town on a three lane road and need to turn left. There are a few cars in front of me in the middle lane so I cut the bus lane to turn left by approx. a couple of car lengths (to increase traffic flow!)

I get caught by the cameras but the two photos presented clearly show me in the middle lane (indicating left) and then in the end of the bus lane.

I appeal on the grounds of common sense and that I was increasing traffic flow by getting out of the middle lane.

I eventually get a letter yesterday, which says that I should still be charged, but due to the fact they did not reply in 56 days to my appeal, the PCN is cancelled. Did common sense prevail?

Happy.

So they told you exactly why you weren't getting charged, but you think it was something else?
