Anyway following on from the 'logic' that suggested that owners should clear up after not only their own dogs but all other people's dogs.

So on the basis that every time I go out I could take a big bin liner and fill it with all the litter that people have thrown away and just chucked, out of vehicles, as they walk back from the pub / shop / school / work in fact just wherever and whenever they like. So people should clear up everybody else's litter, that's a good thing.

In fact if people should be stopped from owning dogs, then does that mean that people should be stopped from having small people aka children, because it's people that are the real problem.

No, just dog sh*t, because if people pick it up it it won't get walked in.
As I said earlier, it is always other people who make a mess.

So instead of walking past it, why don't you pick up the sh*t in one of those bags you have anyway and set a good example?

So what about horse st, and those great plops that the cows leave behind, and foxes, and geese and...?

Presumably you go litter picking?

The title of this thread is 'Owners Not Picking Up After Dogs'.
That is the problem.
What is the solution?

Based on the general lack of intelligent opinion expressed via here it seems I shall carrying on treating all people walking dogs with contempt, unless the dog being walked is wearing a nappy.

The Human is meant to be the most intelligent species out there, but many people seem to enjoy standing at the side of busy roads etc waiting for their doggie to finish sh*tting and then pick it up, in a bag, then wander around with it, and do this twice a day.

What is that to be proud of?

The solution is to force irresponsible owners to clear up properly, and dispose of it likewise.

But answer the question, do you go litter picking?

Let's assume you don't litter, maybe you do, but do you go out picking other people's litter up, to set an example, as you encourage dog owners who are already completely clearing up after their dogs to do.

Your reluctance to answer the question suggests you don't go round picking up other peoples' litter. If that is the case then that's just steaming hypocrisy.

Or of course you could just be on a wind up, in which case, go away.

See, this is just a bit weird. Blokes wandering around with dogs just isn't right.

No wonder there is so much sh*t left around, they are trying to rush home to catch up with their Soaps.

People who visit our campsite who don't pick up really vex me, because I then have to do it.

What *really* got up my nose once was that someone bothered to pick it up - and *then* slung the bag into an adjacent field (ours but not open to the public). Thanks for that. dhead.

You're the perfect demonstration of devolution.

As for trolling, 2/10

Funny you should mention this but I know people who do pick up litter as they walk along.

I pick up clearly dangerous litter, eg broken glass on the common / riverside.

Trolling? Because you disagree with my opinion?
Devolution? Me? How do you work that one out? I'm not walking a dog (that I presume you've not been forced to own) picking up after it with a little bag.

I did pose the question asking why do people have dogs. The only answers I've seen are "for companionship" and "to p*ss people off who are non-dog owners".

So, what is the solution to dog sh*t being left?
No answers so far.

As I said earlier, a ban on 'pet' doggies would stop the problem of doggie poo poo. You don't NEED a dog, do you?

What is the attraction of this?

Not forgetting the huge vets bills?
The hair everywhere?
The barking?
The smell of hair, mud, dribble?
The ruined furniture?

And dog owners wonder why non-dog owners wonder why I consider them INSANE?

Remember these are people who are happy to have a smelly unhygenic animal in their house, on their furniture, and licking their faces after it's licked who-knows-what.

To expect common decency and a certain level of cleanliness and hygene from them is asking a bit much, so I just make sure I keep my eyes open and navigate around it, seems to be plenty dogs types happy to leave their little darlings droppings all over the pavement.

If you can pinpoint a time when the culprit it doing it you could film it, might give you some sort of a case, but my thinking is the owner is a dog person and so will just find somewhere further out of sight to let it do it's business, so you'll just be moving the problem on.

We don't need you either, and you take up more space and expel more crap.

I have just met a potential client in West Drayton and I have never seen a town with so much dog poo left for unsuspecting civilised people to step in.
