Hello. I have recently bought a Japanese import SLK 350. The radio frequency is set to Japanese (as is the language setting). Does anyone know if the frequency and language can be changed without changing the unit? I am currently living in Dubai.

I don't want to change the unit if I can help it. It is a Hatman Kardon system. I guess it's top of the line as it has dvd, mini disc, 6 cd changer, nav and a truly glorious sound. But I can effectively only use CD. The car is a 2005 model.

Many thanks guys

Cant help with your question but what was special about the SLK to go to the effort of importing one?

Price, condition, mileage I guess. Can't really answer this, as this is a question for the person who imported it. I didn't think it was any of my business to be honest so I didn't ask. I just liked the car, so I bought it.

Cheers

I have a jap import Nissan, it needed a band expanded fitted to it. However I would assume that these days it's in the engineers menu. I'd google how to access that hidden engineer menu for your model and go from there
