If you see this event as just poor old Ched Evans, doing what any decent young man should be doing, shame on you, irrespective of the legalities.
"Doing what any decent young man should be doing" in whose opinion? Yours?
Who gets to decide what is decent? You? A religion? The law?
Who gets to tell young men what they should or shouldn't do? If what he did is not illegal, then moral judgements from anyone else are an irrelevance.

Shame on me eh? Like I give a crap about someone trying to shame me into behaving in a way that fits their moral code. Who do you think you are the pope?
Theres a crowd of people defending "the poor girl being publically shamed for her sexual exploits" and in doing so hypocritically missing that they're happy to see ched punished for his sordid little goings-on. Feminism so easily becomes misandry- or twas ever thus?

Quite.
I don't see how you can judge one without judging the other equally harshly.

Personally I don't think I have the right to judge anything that other people do in private that is consensual and legal. None of my business.
Wouldn't do it myself, but still none of my business to judge him for it.

Although if I had the pick of two Olympic women's volleyball players I might be tempted, but would still look for somewhere nicer than a Premier Inn biggrin

Twas ever thus, people create false dichotomies. That a behaviour is legal doesn't make it 'ok', nor is every illegal act 'wrong'. There are grey areas everywhere in life and for some reason internet forums try to bring everything down to black or white.

But this is the rub I guess? If someone has taken a mood altering chemical are they still able to give considered consent? In this case the Police/CPS obviously felt she wasn't.
