Exactly right. Has the OP actually taken on board the fact that he needs to stop speeding. I see no evidence of it in his posts.

If not, exceptional hardship pleading is a waste of time, as you are just putting of the inevitable. may as well get the ban now and get it over with.
It looks like he's taken it on board to me, he's merely annoyed at being punished for something that wasn't actually dangerous. Regardless, he hasn't asked for opinions on his driving, so why bother giving them? Unless he's mentally retarded I'm sure he's well aware that he needs to respect speed limits to avoid another ban.
Indeed, I posted to see if anyone had experienced similar to get a feel for the outcome. As previously, Internet preachers abound everywhere, and yes, they are correct, yes they do have a point blah, blah, but I would be more interested if anyone had been in a similar situation.

Now, being a motoring site, where not a very one drives like a vicar you would assume, I thought it would of been a fair shot to ask.

And actually, I have been driving like a vicar, played the roulette on the M25 ( Not realising the Hadecs did average speed) and lost, tough st etc.

The last 2 tickets were when they changed traff cams to speed and traff cams, and the 1st was for doing 40 on a dual carriageway in Watford, proper dangerous me biggrin

I think you might like to rethink your "driving like a vicar"... Thanks for confirming that you still really don't quite get it.

You didn't tell us about being charged with dangerous driving. Did that one get dropped, or is it still waiting for you? Or do you just not quite understand the difference between a ticket for exceeding the speed limit, and one for dangerous driving?

I don't believe Hadecs do average speed, at least not yet anyway, at the moment they just do speed.

No, they're consistent in that regard, too.

Clue: I'm not in Wales.

As far as I know there are no permanent average speed cameras on the M25 at the moment.

Hadecs are just more cost effective and efficient than the gantry mounts. Side-mounted and one camera able to cover multiple lanes. Otherwise the same as gantry mounts, slow down for the camera and go as fast as you like either side. Not average speed.
I haven't been round there for a few weeks but there were a few Specs average speed ones there where they'd chucked a few cones about and made it a 50 limit.

Judging by his responses and the fact that his current issue could get him banned, I think he has already proved how clever he really is.

Is this post supposed to put the OP down or big you up?
Pointless.

That's pathetic. If you really think that drivers can't drive at or close enough to the speed limit without having tosntare at their speedo then you've got a real problem. It's not that difficult to be aware of your speed and more attentive to the situations around you.

Many millions of drivers manage it day in, day out across the country. The fact that a few are so inattentive as to get caught enough times to make a ban a realistic prospect, suggests their driving may well not be as good as they believe it to be.

Oh and the OP's and others comments around speed and motoring enthusiast being completely linked are a bit daft. There may be a correlation, but it's not a straight line link between the two.
You're twisting things.

Nobody mentioned anything about 'staring at the speedo, or anything like it.

Getting caught for straying over the limit has little or nothing in common with not paying proper attention to road/traffic conditions and real/potential hazards.

Besides, only getting caught a handful of times despite doing 70K a year is arguably doing quite well in this day and age.

Oh, and in case you ask, my licence is clean.

Yes, I'm sure.

Neither. Just my thoughts on a thread started by someone who clearly isn't learning.

99% sure there not average they are fixed speed based on the display, specs do average they didn't 12 months against ant my last HE briefing. I was on the m25 a couple of weeks ago and I observed the cameras no issue, seems pointless Notting it very 50 yards to slow down.

Anyway you missed my post I have totted u at 21 over 3 years I got 4 speeding fines, I got away with 21 day ban under accepting, hardship. However it will depend on circumstances my father had just died which I think helped my cause.

You need to accept that it your wrong though as this I am not at fault thing won't help you on 11 points

I can't remember posting I was not at fault ? Can't remember looking for sympathy either. It's a camara, I got a capture, I'll swallow what comes.

Who's had similar was the question. It's a common fact that safety has no role in most camera locations, they're revenue raisers, end of.

The sanctimonious squad, as expected make an appearance, it's not a surprise, and to be honest, you have to laugh at the cardigan wearers, it's the Internet after all.

Fortunately, they're still appears to be a few like minded posters who 'get it'

I already 'got it' and have purchased the Vaseline in readiness...

Unfortunately, it's people like you who ruin it for everyone else.

People like you play into the hands of the system. You fuel the fires started by groups like Brake. Another person in court through totting up means more for the 'safety' partnerships to get their teeth into. They see people like you, think what they are doing isn't enough and press on with further changes.

The fact that you simply do not understand how daft it is to get anywhere near a totting up ban is a worry. You can say all you like about people preaching on here. However, as long as there are people like you around, the system will keep winning and motoring will become more and more restrictive.

Edited to add - it's as if you are proud of this situation. I hope the law enforcers don't see just how much you apparently don't care.
