Police bail time limits?
Discussion
Sadly - the very bottom line is that there is no requirement to press charges within a certain time.
Yes bail dates will be set, but these can, in theory continue indefinitely. Plenty of stories of people, where there is a lot of potential evidence to look through, being on bail for years.

Depends what he is on bail for, summary only offences have a time limit of 6 months from date of offence with very few exceptions.Yes bail dates will be set, but these can, in theory continue indefinitely. Otherwise there isn't a time limit although a limit is soon to be brought in via legislation.
