There are a fair few departments in the Police and government agencies who are provided with 'company cars' which are high powered saloon/hatch/estate cars fitted with lights and sirens. they use them operationally and also as their own private vehicle, that way it's easier when they get the "Get to fking work now!!!!!!" phone call.
