Why would you put your name on your number plate? Does it make it easier to go dogging or something?!

And what a fine example you set for your fellow soldiers...

I'd never thought of that. Not sure how having my name on my number plate makes it easier to masterbate into someone else's car though confused

Legends, all of them.

Oddly enough there's more to soldiering and life than worrying about what someone's number plate looks like. I don't think that many people really care to be honest.

They all think I'm a useless soldier because I have a personal plate on my car. It's all they ever think about when we're on operations. I'm always worried the hate is that bad I'll be the victim of "friendly fire". It's real seat of the pants stuff

Well, why DO you have your name on your numberplate? Is it a military thing, a bit like at school where you have to sew your name into all your clothes?

Ah, that explains it.

I wonder if everyone who has a personalised plate is into dogging?

Yes, it's a real puzzler. Perhaps the young officer scarpered because he recognised me from dogging. I must take more notice of these chaps while I'm furiously tugging myself off over their number plates in secluded car parks

Hey OP, I had a similar experience with a slightly enthusiastic upholder of the law. I had an allegedly mis-spaced 4 digit plate, sized to fit in a US number plate frame. Fascist bully boy tugs me, I'm sure the make of car, or the patronising/self deprecating/amusing/smug plate frame had nothing to do with it, however he was a short trafpol individual. He then informs me the car is modified due to this, and would call my insurance company to check if I had declared the modification. My suggestion that he may be incorrect was met with a bolsie retort that "did I think I knew more about the law than him" etc.. There then followed an embarrassing call on his part in the back of the police car, with my insurer when he tried to convince them the allegedly mis-spaced plate (which I'm sure is in fact legal) constituted an offence.

Insurance lady's answer was of a similar incredulity to mine. I sat through a few more minutes of huffing and puffing of the increasingly red faced short man's temper, before I was allowed on my way. Clearly neither of them had seen the state of my garage, in which the car had been stored, which obviously would have been a capitol offence.

OP, I'd just get on with you life, and feel sorry for the poor minimum wage, passed over for promotion, short in stature, minion of limited reasoning and questionable competence that has regrettably been given the power and free will to victimise other members of society due to his low boredom threshold and pitiful self esteem.......

Why?

Genuine question!

So people know you own it, you like seeing your name, some sort of anti-theft feature, stops you trying to get into other similar vehicles....?.I can't think why you would need this so would love to hear why. Thanks!

To be fair, I do quite like personalised numberplates. They make it much easier to know which self-obsessed, borderline-psycho to give a wide berth to in traffic.

Top trolling OP! 10/10.

On personalised plates, I think they're wk, but whatever you're into. If I was to get one I would lioke TW4T 1 or BA11 BAG, whichever was available. This would then leave people in no doubt.

Aside from the chavness of these plates you have to hand it to the government
its a win win sell someone a plate knowing its useless unless its mis spaced and then fine the idiots for doing it ...
