ll the examples in the thread are statistical extremes when considering the larger samples.
Fining isn't 'the correct allocation of funding'.
Unfortunately, the amount of police resource expended on MH is not at the statistical extreme.Fining isn't 'the correct allocation of funding'.
What fines? Again, there is no fining.

It is when it comes to inappropriate allocation and the examples provided in the thread. V8 Fettler said:

The financial punishments you essentially talk of, to 'incentivise better management'. It's not much use when there's little to nothing management can do. La Liga said:

Do you therefore have data to show how many hours Elroy and colleagues book each month for stepping in for MH staff?

I'm not sure the data is collected. The College of Policing collect global MH data but it's quite general. Again, the police can already charge for their services, extend this to including charging (not fining) the NHS for stepping in for MH staff.

Imagine what would happen if you or me tied up a 11 year old girl, can,t see a 11 year old doing a great deal of damage to 6 policemen, police seem to be getting very heavy handed these days must be because they know they can get away with it.
or the above poster is just demonstrating their utter lack of knowledge of safe control and restraint techniques ... of course you can put someone to the floor on your own ... but repeated red zone strikes with an ASP , rigid baton or Sjambok are potentially life threatening injuries ...

Why don't you enlighten everyone and tell us how it should have been dealt with? Cat
Here's some footage of cops trying to control some fluffy wuffy 15 and 16 year old cherubs. The poor child hurt his fist when the offiicer viciously head butted it. All that was needed was some patience and lollipops, not wanton violence and police oppression.
