Found a bandit
Discussion
To cut a long story short, somehow somebody took over my eBay account and ordered about £200 of goods last night.
Everything is now duly cancelled, reset and back to normal, but the most interesting thing was to explore the 'Purchases' section of my account and see where the goods had been sent. And ooh looky here, there's the name and address of the fraudster, a gentleman of Eastern European extraction.
Should I inform the local police or just not bother and keep my head down?

You cant always tell how they do it.
If you reuse the same username and password across multiple websites then it is likely that it will get stolen from one of them at some point. These are often then bundled up and sold on the dark web.
So if your PH account was the same as your ebay account and PH got hacked, then your ebay account could be compromised too.
Always use different passwords for your most important accounts - particularly anything which can be used to order stuff, or to access those... especially your email account as this can usually be used to discover what you use and reset your online accounts.

My account was once hijacked and I was apparently selling Harley Davidson's at £12,000 a go.If you reuse the same username and password across multiple websites then it is likely that it will get stolen from one of them at some point. These are often then bundled up and sold on the dark web.
