SWMBO's Nan had terrible dementia when I met Amy, and it got worse over the last few years, to the point she regressed to being 12 years old again, but unable to coherently talk. In the end she just cried constantly.

2 months before the end she had a bad fall and got sent to Hospital. We say that killed her mentally. After the hospital it was a care home, 3 days before the end she went on the syringe driver, then the one day no one stayed with her overnight she died.

We were all relieved deep down, she knew she was ill, but couldn't do anything about it, even talk to people about it.

My mums showing early signs of it, a life of epilepsy and massive bangs to the head for the past 30 years hasn't helped that. I'm not looking forward to it...

I pity the guy in this case, but appreciate that the law cant be bent sadly
