Got overtaken by an extra long transit yesterday - I was doing 65 on single carriageway (yes, I confess) - but he was towing a double axle caravan at the time!

And just to confuse things even more, the single carriageway bits of A9 north of Perth have an "experimental" 50mph HGV speed limit. How far north that stretches I'm not sure. What I do know is that it has SPECS cameras. Over a hundred miles of them.

They only cover single carrieageway sections. They don't cover the dual carriageway sections North of Perth.
