I'm in Belgium, at Spa, and as things stand I can't find my passport. Had a fairly stressful time here, I had to produce my PP to check in to the hotel, they say they don't have it but I can't locate it.

Due to travel back early Monday. If it doesn't show up, what are my options?

British embassy?
If you need to travel don't you only need ID, rather than a passport?

(until Brexit at least)

Could be wrong. Hope you get sorted OP.

£100 which seems steep but it might be better than fighting with half the world to get into the back of a lorry

Report it lost to the Belgian police who will issue you with a form saying you have reported it lost, allow extra time for your journey home if you are driving as checks will have to be done at the UK border to see if you held a passport or not. If you are flying then you will need to get an emergency passport from the British Embassy.

Thanks for the input and advice, in amongst everything else which was going on I forgot about this thread! I found it, it had somehow fallen into the sleeve of my bike jacket, which has elastic in the cuff, and was trapped there. Couldn't make it up!
