Kent constabulary in partnership with all the usual agencies are having a crackdown until the 28th according to my social media feed .
Take care in the county.

Yep - they parked a Scamera van 200 yards past the new fixed speed camera on the A20 London bound the other day - parked in the lay-by near the Dutch House pub

They have been hitting it quite hard on the A20 around Mottingham lately. Is that Kent tho? Thought it was the Met? Not seen them in that layby yet but am always on full alert every morning. They're usually on the other side pinging people heading towards the lights at the Royal. They also sit in the layby after the LH bend Lomdon-bound by Flamingo Park, and I've recently seen them picking people off with cars/bikes around the QMH junction, including hiding halfway up the slip (must be nice and safe there, no hazard to other road users at all).

That whole route is my daily commute, I watch my speed for all known spots, often amazed at the number of people who fly past regardless.

From the wording in the alert it's a Europe wide effort .
Just in time for all the law abiding citizens to return from their summer holibobs .

It's good to know there's so little real crime these days that they have time to help out the country by raising some revenue. Carry on boys, you're doing a great job.

They were parked on that slip road this morning as I turned off at that junction. Easy pickings I'd say...

Had a very close call there myself about 18 months ago - steaming up the DC, check the slip and anchor on. Had a flash of the headlights but no follow?

Also flamingo park - was once gunned there - saw them lower it and get in the car to follow me immediately after....a quick pull into the golf driving range and 5 minute browse of the shop later and I was on my way - can only think they carried on after I'd made the turn?

Could of course be a case of the traffic department of the police dealing with traffic issues?
Rather than them dealing with other tasks.
Always interested in the "aren't there any other crimes for you to be investigating" argument, when said to a traffic officer actually working on traffic offences.

Well I'm glad I'm not imagining it, I'm often the slowest big through those stretches, not because I don't want to go faster but because I've seen told lurking too many times. Surprised others don't seem bothered by the risk.

Big time, flamingo park must have been 6 odd years ago now, the slip was only about 3 years - far more careful now.

The flamingo park one is always given away by brake lights from the cars that are halfway round the corner

This is all on my ride in. Agree they have been out lots recently. Least twice per week I see them on the stretch mentioned above. Think its because those bits are normally clogged up. Its been great over the summer holls. Roll right to the lights.

The one that gets me is the lone copper who stands in the middle of the road, back against a sign pinging everyone going coast bound past the Duchman pub. You'll only see him by the time its too late. .
