Good morning

Just had a couple of front tyres fitted to my 55 reg Honda CRV, however in doing so the well known fitting chain (who I have never had problems with before - NO not Kwikfit), stripped the splines on one of the wheel studs ( or hub) when removing the wheel, well they said the stud is turning.

Should they resolve the issue or is that just something that's unavoidable

I'd of thought that was pretty much impossible to do unless there was a fault on the stud or it wasn't fitted properly in the first place. Unless they had somehow knocked the stud back through the hub? (which also should be pretty hard to do)
So, unless there is other evidence, I would say no fault of the tyre place.

imho.....

EDIT: unless they cross threaded a nut. In which case that should be obvious. I would take it to a garage and get it fixed, if they say the nut was cross threaded then back to the tyre place for an arguement, otherwise put it down as one of those things.....

Thanks for that, I have accepted that life is a bh sometimes - and it may only be the stud that's lost its splines, or another hub will only cost £100
