Looks like the government are finally doing something about texting in the car: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-37389800
Personally, I don't think they've gone far enough. 6 points is a good start, but there needs to be a much higher fine. Isn't it £1000 on the Isle of Man(??). There should be zero tolerance also.

The trouble is - how on earth are plod going to enforce this?

Plod can't enforce it.Drivers will keep talking on the phone whilst driving.Work pressure because everytime they get a call the phone is answered.

The curse of modern time phones phones and more phones.

I've seen girls going through complex junctions before nodding up and down.

6points and a big fine. It's getting to silly levels now in rush hour traffic
