Nothing to do with me but flea has an advert for supposedly the first 350i FHC. It's a project but looks complete. Wasn't someone waiting for a V8 FHC to come up???

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TVR-Wedge-350i-FHC-very-...redfacezEAAOSwLF1X5-iM

Not sure what's happening to the link but seems to work for me????

Link works for me Keith.

Wish we had never sold the black 350i FHC we had for a while. Great looking cars.

Don't think they're saying it's the 1st, only that it's one of the 52 made. That's how I read it anyway!

I think Glen was talking about the recent ad on FB - a week or two ago. I agree, I think he was trying to get around £4.5k for it (having paid £3k for it 3 or 4 months ago).

Car was bought

Parts were hoovered up sharpish

Then car was put up for sale with mark-up. Hope I don't ever need replacement glass in the future....

Stockpiling rare parts for any cars whilst being a member of online groups for the same models just doesn't sit well with me.

I think people should buy and store any rare part for any classic car that they can afford to buy and store. At least that way the parts are saved from distruction. Then when a rare part is needed it can be offered to the person in need or used by the person themselves . Naturally there will be a premium. Buying and storing parts for a rainy day is costly and labour intensive. Trader/enthusiast combo is a rare breed these days and though most don't like to admit it, it's all about money. A true enthusiast will be more than happy to find a rare part they need than to fuss about the extra premium. If you were restoring a FHC wedge and needed the glass for the rear hatch, would you be fussing about where it came from or how much? I'm guessing not. Just my opinion gentlemen.

Depends on the premium. For rare parts like these you could really hold people to ransom. If you wanted to be like that.

If I'd known Rt were having a clear out I would have bought a few spares myself. Damn.

Hope the FHC goes to a good home. Colour suits it well.

Join the Facebook page, Richard posts stuff there first generally :-)

You gotta be quick though. Sometimes RT posts up several of the same item and a trader takes them all.
For what that FB group is about, that shouldn't happen.

I hope you joined the right one because there is a newer one now for enthusiasts. I'm finding there is a wealth of information there and a good friendly atmosphere. I believe in moving with the times.

There are now two Wedge Facebook groups and I believe both are for enthusiasts unless I'm mistaken? Just the same two camps that divide the PH forum with opinions....

Life is too short.

Yesterday, you didn't know there was a wedge FB, today you know there are two. The old one and the new one. Just because someone has invited you doesn't mean it's the one to join. Why not join them both and compare, that way you can make up your own mind. Like I said earlier, personally I prefer to move with the times. Out with the old and in with the new. It's your choice.
