Sorry but you sound arrogant and not sure that you will learn from the fine/course.

Do what you like in life, but if you take the course, go in with an open mind.

And you can always learn more to be a better driver - 200k miles means nothing, the next danger can be around the next corner that catches you out. I've been driving for 25 years and still learning - and I'm no slow, IAM to the book, Speedwatch member...

I'd encourage every PH member to read this and reflect:

Standard PH responses. Truth is, most of us would be just as pissed off as the OP if we'd been caught like that, but having spent a while on PH we'd know better than to come here and complain about it.

Not from me.

I got caught at 88 in a 70 by a certain camera. I was delighted and paid up happily as moments earlier I was doing way in excess of that.

Take the risk, etc.

So, what you're telling me is that you were in a totally different situation to the OP therefore you didn't mind paying? tongue out

Clearly not concentrating that hard as you seem to have ignored the 30 sign at about 6 second in.
You need to get out more. I've managed 6 years without incident - no fks given.
So few fks given you took to the internet to show everyone how much its not bothered you?

I meant I took a risk, got caught, paid up and didn't moan like an entitled teenager. The means by which I was caught was irrelevant. The camera was at least impartial.

I'm just waiting for the OP to say that they wish they had been out catching real criminals.

Yes, because in your head you were thinking "phew, good job they got me there and not earlier" and probably having a little nervous laugh about it. It appears the OP however was caught on a journey where he was driving reasonably carefully and not taking any major risks. Therefore, being caught has resulted in a different emotion. This is fairly normal human nature surely?

I personally have a clean licence, but know a lot of people who've been caught in similar situations i.e. breaking the law, bang to rights, but not really doing anything dangerous. They all moan about it, everyone agrees it's annoying, and we get on with our lives. And I suspect that's what happens everywhere, expect on PH where anyone caught speeding is practically expected to congratulate the officer who caught them.

Fair points. I suspect hindsight and a few weeks will help the OP.

Indeed, the usual, arsewipes will join the fray shortly, trust me. wkers had me locked out of my own post tuther day.

Y'see, there's a little squad of perfects on here that have a lot to say, because they have the anonymity of the Internet.

But they'd never say it to your face, because mummy wouldn't let them out that late, and they have no real balls.

Feel your pain OP, slags working a slag system.

Can we get the title fixed? I came here expecting theft & violence, assumed halfway through the OP that there would be some kind of crash for cash scam involved, then discovered it's all about being caught at 38 in a 30 - not even one of those stupid 20 limits that seem to be popping up everywhere!

Indeed, copper at the bottom all in black, what a slag. I would be the first to support a proper copper, but that dog has just been told by the super to go,out and catch a few mugs.

Where's 'Twig the wonder ' when you need him, to give us the facts ?

That made me laugh haha. 100% true. Catch a few mugs, pretend it's safety blah blah, go and watch bullst safety video, proceed to drive in exactly the same manner. And such is life I suppose. What a load of bullst we subject ourselves to. I'd imagine he caught one every few minutes. I'm ticket 3 and he said he hadn't been there long.

Should have turned back and proceeded to warn every other person on the road.. not that I'd ever do that. smile

Well, let me tell you, the tank top wearers will be along soon, to tell you that you are actually death on wheels, and you should be hanged.

Thing is, the tide is actually slowly turning on here against these divvies, check their post counts, empty bedroom, mum not monitoring etc, and you get the picture.

Discard these no marks, and there is some decent people here who will understand you're distress. Motorist = Cashcow, make wky copper all in black look good in supers eyes= promotion. =Not real copper.

Unfortunately this is a classic case of Police out to hit targets. Not a single piece of road safety about it.
TTommy, the point of speed limit enforcement is not to discourage you from speeding in places where you realise that it would be unsafe for you to do so, or to make money, it's to discourage you from speeding everywhere.

The idea is that if you don't know where the speed traps are, then you will be less likely to speed at all.

Not bad at all, just pragmatic, you exceed the speed limit you are taking a chance on getting caught, it might make you feel better to vent your spleen on here about how unfair it is because what you were doing was not dangerous, but it doesn't change anything.

If it was me I would be a bit pissed off, but at myself not the police.
