Unfortunately not. Caused by bumps in the road. Watch when I drive over the same section.

I would have definitely noticed that. Unless I was on my phone of course.

To be fair, the modern, more focused lights do look more like you are being flashed when a car hits a bump or sudden dip. I've noticed it increasingly in the last few years - I guess it's because the upper line of the beam is much, much crisper.

Carry on reading sweetheart - to highlight the system's injustice.

Even the policeman that got me knows dam well everyone will just drive off at speed and re-offend.

I'm still struggling to see the injustice.

And no, I don't think "everyone" will.

Many people attend speed awareness and say "blimey I learned something today" and modify their behaviour, at least for a time - even committed petrol heads. The courses do vary though - some are condescending, some very constructive by many accounts.

Look guys - I'm just frustrated this is what road policing has come too - a pointless ticking exercise.

By all means if some twerp IS driving unsafely or fast past a school at 8.30am, they deserve to be pulled up about it.

My point is, sitting at the bottom of a hill where good, honest motorists are driving past built up areas slowly and then obviously going to build up a few MPH down a hill with no real hazards is just a bit sickening.

It hasn't, you're making assumptions. There are fewer traffic officers than there have been for many years and they tend to focus on serious collisions (one serious collision will wipe out the entire roads' policing capacity / capability for most forces). Many also duel role to support local officers with crime and other non-traffic matters.

I just think it's such a horrific system.

Oh well.
If you go with "horrific" to describe our speed enforcement system, how would you describe Stalin's death camps?

There's a school and you didn't think you were speeding.
So clearly it's a very good place to remind people that 30 is really REALLY slow.

On the course they suggest leaving manuals in 3rd to avoid exactly what happened to you.
You might learn that!

Indeed, copper at the bottom all in black, what a slag. I would be the first to support a proper copper, but that dog has just been told by the super to go,out and catch a few mugs.

Where's 'Twig the wonder ' when you need him, to give us the facts ?
That made me laugh haha. 100% true. Catch a few mugs, pretend it's safety blah blah, go and watch bullst safety video, proceed to drive in exactly the same manner. And such is life I suppose. What a load of bullst we subject ourselves to. I'd imagine he caught one every few minutes. I'm ticket 3 and he said he hadn't been there long.

Should have turned back and proceeded to warn every other person on the road.. not that I'd ever do that. smile
Well, let me tell you, the tank top wearers will be along soon, to tell you that you are actually death on wheels, and you should be hanged.

Thing is, the tide is actually slowly turning on here against these divvies, check their post counts, empty bedroom, mum not monitoring etc, and you get the picture.

Discard these no marks, and there is some decent people here who will understand you're distress. Motorist = Cashcow, make wky copper all in black look good in supers eyes= promotion. =Not real copper.
Oh dear!
Indeed. Guess who's been caught speeding. Again.
Hope he likes catching the bus.
He's so stupid, he would struggle to catch a cold.

He would struggle to empty the water out of a shoe, even with the instructions written on the heal. (As someone said on here earlier in the year). smile

When you next drive down the hill, take a look in the mirror. You will then see the hazard.

I think the phrase is "couldn't pour p1ss out of a boot without instructions on the heal." Or so my old gran used to say.

Certainly looks like it! Brimmers Hill. I go along that bit on my way from Cryers Hill Lane en route to my MoT place at Hazlemere Crossroads. I'll be even more vigilant now...
