Wouldn't you have been better having the fine cancelled since it's non-compliant? By having it paid you're letting the council get away with it.

Is the end result any different for me? No - I haven't had to pay it, so that suits me.

To be honest I didn't think Park My Fine was legit so wasn't counting on it. But I received an email yesterday saying I had won and they would be paying the fine for me.

In other words the parking equivalent of winning the lottery. Lucky you.
Meanwhile the local authority gets an undeserved windfall so it is laughing all the way to the bank.

Of course if people have nothing better to do than watch ads all day... rolleyes

For those who my be interested Mr Bealey's crowdfunding initiative bombed.
Over 4 months, zero backers. I reckon his expansionist dreams will be just that. Dreams.
