Only custard can rescue it now. As you say too much bizarre incidents and drip drip feeding of info raised a few question marks. This saga has gone on for so long now and is so bizarre, that it's lost any hint of being a true event.

As others state IF true hoping the OP gets his car back with as little wear and tear as possible and that he doesn't try to persue the bank for not being to use his vehicle for one month when it was in the previous owners name....
