PC World black Friday deals if anyone is interested (ends Monday)

I have ordered it with the clutch pedal set and gear stick for £159.99 so not an expensive way into force feedback. This will be my first ever steering wheel!

Any recommendations for a stand or is it easier to build your own?

Also was looking at this deal but only have Project Cars and Need For Speed as driving games. Like above I'd be buying it in preparation for Gran Turismo rather than for my current games library, so got to ask myself if it might even be cheaper still next year?

I doubt it. £129 is probably about as low as they will go if the g25/7 are anything to go by

I've been very tempted by this, although currently only having european truck stimulator 2 to use it with! thinking about buying a ps3 + GT5 as well, but don't really have the spare £200 to fund everything... Wonder if it will be available for £130 in 6 months or so.

Hi, can anyone tell me how well this works with the PS4? Could be tempted as racing games just aren't the same with a pad!

It's listed as compatible with the PS4.
I was always very happy with my G25 on both PC and PS3.

Do these wheels and pedals really make the difference? I have GT6 on a PS3 and I'm struggling to feed in steering TBH with my pad. I'm reluctant to add more tat to my hoard if they're not contributing positively!

They are very good. Really enjoyable to use with GT, though I can only speak for a G27 on GT6 on PS3.

Thanks for the heads up, picked one up yesterday.

It makes playing racing games with a pad seem pointless, I'm now seeking out the lairy cars that were unplayable with a pad.

Once you switch to a wheel you'll not go back.

Then you will upgrade/modify the pedals.
Then it's triple screens or VR
Then you'll change to a better wheel
Then it's a direct drive wheel and separate pedals
Then a full cockpit set up and you start adding bass kickers and 3 degrees of motion.
Then the wife leaves you are takes the kids.

Picked one up earlier, I'm hoping it will make Project cars that bit more easier. I assume it is not possible to race without a proper table mount/seat?

I've been using the ironing board but am looking for a proper stand. There is a bloke on eBay selling them for ~£40

A good price but I refuse to buy one on principle, since Logitech won't support G25/27 on PS4 making my G25+Wheelstand Pro utterly redundant with my new PS4 Pro.

I'm currently looking at options to allow the G25 to emulate a G29 - there seem to be a choice of either Raspberry Pi+homebrew software (GIMX) or a commercially marketed dongle (Cronus max) ... has anyone here had experience of using either solution?

I think the point is that Sony have artificially created a requirement for new hardware on the PS4 by making all compatible peripherals require a "security chip"
My g25 still works fine on a PC or PS3 it won't work on a PS4 because Sony say so.
