What did this company say when they were contacted about the supply of the smart meter?

If they've got a recording of the phone conversation where this was all explained and agreed and they've just got a chargeback out of the blue it might get a bit sticky.

Just playing devil's advocate, they don't sound like the sort of company I'd want to do business with given how cheap that sort of kit is and how much they're charging, but have you taken this approach because they refused a refund or it wasn't possible to contact them?
