He wouldn't have been driving a bus at the time.

Would definitely recommend a solicitor given your job. If you're in debt now, you'll be in a lot more should you lose it.

You got to 65+ indicated in the 100m after leaving Well Hall roundabout to that carefully cherry-picked low-traffic image?

You do appear to be a bit laissez-faire over your licence for somebody whose job depends on it, don'cha?

There was hardly.any traffic just a car in the far distance

As above. I've been at court and seen a solicitor save a taxi driver from losing his licence. It's a no-brainer, but it won't be cheap.
When you say not cheap are we talking...??

Do you have dependants? If so plead hardship to them if you get banned as you'll lose your job. Letter from employer on having a good track record might help.

You're clearly a dullard. I have no advice. I hope you're removed from the road forthwith.

I have a boy on the way due on March 27th, I assume the court date will be before this, hopefully they take that into consideration

Solicitor without question. It may be the difference between a shed load of points or losing your job

Depends where you go. Somewhere in the region of £200 + VAT per hour for a decent solicitor. There will be meetings, preparation time and however many hours on the day of the hearing. I would be surprised if the total bill was less than £3k, and £5k+ is quite possible.

Thanks, seems my phone doesn't always use autocorrect when intended. Glad we cleared that one up.

Hate to say it but on that stretch it's very easily done - currently lying in bed half a mile away. But the police know this and like the A20 at flamingo park regularly wait there...

Sorry to be so harsh but you have nobody else to blame but yourself.

If I was a magistrate and you said:-

"Please don't ban me, as I could lose my job"

I would reply:-

"You should have thought about that before you broke the speed limit by 100%"

I can't really see what a solicitor could say that you couldn't say yourself, but maybe I'm wrong.

On a different tack, if the worst came to the worst, could your company find you some office or shed work for the duration of any ban you may receive?

Good luck anyway.

I appreciate your honesty and agree, I take full responsibility for what I've done. I get what you mean by a solicitor not being able to do or say anything I couldn't, but I feel like on my situation I can't take that chance.

Maybe any ban (If you do get one) might only be a couple of weeks or so, unlike DD where it is an automatic 12 months.

Still, we are putting the cart before the horse here.

If it was me, I would represent myself and try to put on an acting display Laurence Olivier would be proud of.

Problem is I still need a license to drive a bus, unless I don't tell them. But I'm sure once they do their annual delay license check it will flag up as I had been banned and they'll question me.

I'm looking to do things the right way here. It's also very difficult to get the annual leave as they're preset, only able to swap with other drivers.
