Drive into wales over xmas, ( thursday 29th december)

Hello, I was thinking about a drive into north wales over xmas, (After sitting in and eating and drinking to much over xmas) It would be good if a member from north wales area with a good knowledge of some fine roads in there area would join up and plan a route for us, If not I can sort a nice route out, Meeting at Telford services and being ready to leave there at 9am and heading for evo triangle area and then into wales and stopping for some lunch on the horse shoe pass café, Then some more driving then going our separate ways and heading for home at 3pm-ish, So were all home for even more food and drink,


If I can get enough interest I will start planning a proper route, Any way put your name down if your up for it, Cheers Tim

Would you be willing to leave earlier?
I know great routes around mid and North Wales, however, Im not interested in sitting in a procession of traffic. Early mornings give great traffic free roads.

Hi Paul. I was going call you about a good route and see if you two where up for a run out, I will give you a call in the week, Might be good to have a trip to the peaks instead ?, Do you think any of the porsche boys will be up for a run out.

I think the roads are a bit chilly for the Porsche boys...

Ok lets say Tuesday 27th is the date and north wales is the drive, If your interested put your names down,

1 = api330 = M3 = Tim
2 = Paul V = golf r = Paul

If every one can add them selves to the list (just copy the other names then past in your post and add your self and date you prefere as well) then put your preferred date down, (put either date if you can do both) so that's the 27th or 29th, Then we will pick the date most people can attend,

Morning chaps, As we have enough of us for a nice little run out I will put a route together, Couple of questions are we all ok to do the 29th so black flag can join us or do we want to stick to 27th ?, Also does any one have a preff on wales or peak district as I have a mate who knows some great roads up there (peak district that is) Or are we all wanting to head into north wales to do evo trangle etc ?, Thanks Tim

Hi Tim,

Thanks for organising, having lived in Manchester for 4 years I've done the Peak District quite alot., so my preference would be for Wales and Evo triangle because I've not done it before. It may be a little quieter and quicker to get to for a day trip? 29th is ok for me. Hope you don't mind but I have linked this thread to another in the Thames Valley section in case any of the others want to come along.
