I will start it off with this, a car active 12" Subwoofer.
I was having a garage tidy/clearout. And decided the 20A 12v transformer would mate nicely With the subwoofer that was taking up garage space.
Im quite pleased with the extra "edge" it gives to my apartments sound system.

So what car parts do you have (are allowed) in your lounge?

Someone must have a V8 coffee table etc.....

Nothing as of yet, but the V8 coffee table is definitely on the list, and since the ex left earlier this year, there is no-one to object.

I might settle for a V6, Flat four or if i find something particularly special, maybe even an inline 4 or 2. Im rather nuts about italian cars, so i'd prefer a nice italian V6 over a rover/yank V8

Do motorbike parts count?

If so, I have a complete bike cover off one of Chris "Bomber Harris, speedway bikes hanging on my wall.

Do bike bits count? Yamaha XJR1300 fuel tank gathering dust in the corner.

The spare room is my parts bin. Shelves and everthing.

My wife still goes on about two freshly painted front wings and a bonnet in our dining room years ago but I always felt outdone by my mate who had an MG Midget bodyshell (unused) for years in his dining room lent on it's side against the wall....

I have a boot seal, a car stereo wiring harness, a car stereo, some tools, a set of brake pad shims, some suspension bushes for a Triumph 2000, a set of door cappings for a Triumph Dolomite, and a sidelight for an Austin Maxi. I have never owned a Triumph 2000 or an Austin Maxi.

I got into a lot of trouble for decoking a cylinder head from my RS2000 in the living room. Easier to get the stuff out of the head than the carpet it turned out. Still gets brought up 31 years later.rolleyes

He had a blanket over it, I'm not sure whether it was to disguise it or stop it getting dusty!

A red wheel.

And jump leads.

And a fibreglass Escort Cosworth bonnet.

I had to look around the room to remember it all.

Perkins?
No. JCB built their own engine some 15 years ago, coincidentally a lot of it is similar to the Perkins. They also have a 6 cylinder engine as well now.

I think Perkins purchase by Caterpillar prompted JCB to start making their own engines.

Not a good idea to be buying your engines from a major competitor!
