Windscreen smashed

Thank you all for your comments.
For the record the car affected was my Ford Focus that is my DD.
Autoglass wanted circa £500 to replace the windscreen.
As for wasting council time ......
I doubt you'd say that if you'd fecked up a tyre and alloys in a pothole or tree roots had caused subsidence to your house.
I've lived a life and usually suck it up and in this case the time and trouble may not be worth it but it's worth a little effort to see how the wind blows.

Autoglass are expensive. Go for a local business, preferably with good Facebook, Google etc. reviews - their quote will be cheaper. For the record the car affected was my Ford Focus that is my DD.

Autoglass are expensive ( from prices I have seen ) and also generally do a rather substandard job in my own personal experience from using them three times through insurance companies (who insisted on their glass supplier being used - Autoglass)Edited by imdeman87 on Saturday 14th January 17:30
