No it's not new, but body worn video cameras are new, and just because 'that's how we used to do it' doesnt make it right or better.
My post was in relation to consultation between officers - not body worn cameras. I cant see how viewing prior to making statements can be allowable - you're merely providing a narrative to the video rather than giving your own personal recollections by doing so. Officers have the choice whether or not to give a full account or merely a brief duty report
