Yes they are real and yes I have seen them. What's wrong with it?

Nothing wrong with it ,just quite a bit different ,doesn't look like the others so would be likely to be assumed to be an ordinary van .
I know it's a can of worms the debate over vans and any sort of speed camera .

Does that deter people from speeding or just catch them in the act ?

That's a good thing, isn't it? Stops all of the people apparently causing accidents by slamming their brakes on.

They are a deterrent for those who don't want to pay because people know there are cameras but they don't know where they are or what they look like.
