Not read the whole thread, so might have missed something, but the only info I could find was this. Seems he denied driving the vehicle and, in the absence of further proof, got slapped with a small fine and some points.

April 22. 2021:
James Hollett, 39, of Grouse Road, Colgate, Horsham, pleaded guilty to failing to provide information relating to the identity of the driver of an Audi vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence at Crawley on July 8 last year. he was fined £500 and his driving record endorsed with six penalty points.
You missed something. That happened in April 2021.

I thought this was the out come, so nothing in the public domain about what happened? Isn't that a bit weird?
I know the courts are backed up but surely there would be at least a new trial date by now if it was pushed back.

Can asking for an outcome lead to issues?
Id actually do it, but if I get told an out come and get told it's also got a court order restricting it being published Id rather not be the random person who contacted them out of the blue and by chance it start appearing online shortly after.

If another trial is pending then potential contempt of court to publish the outcome of the first trial.

If the case has concluded then ask if there’s a reporting restriction.

Based on driving legally at over 140 mph on the German autobahn, I can tell you that above 120 mph it becomes like a video game. You have to be looking so far ahead that as thing come closer, they flash past in your peripheral vision. I felt comfortable up to about 120 mph, but above that, I felt like the smallest error and we'd be dying in a fore ball. Some of that was down to the cars aerodynamics and some down to how the world flashed past.

I've done some silly things on the road in the past, but at those sort of speeds it was never as you describe for me, even some fast and furious style driving through traffic didn't feel that risky at the time. Thought the cars involved were all very capable of those elevated speeds so perhaps that is the difference.
Omega MV6 with 180 K miles on the clock, if that makes any difference.
I think my own brain, needs to compute things faster than it does though.
I had an MV6 that was totally stable at >140mph on the Isle of Man where there's a lot more to hit than an autobahn. Something was wrong with yours.
Probably the wear on the shocks and suspension.

Amazing how this case is still ongoing, when Twitter is full of cyclist videos of ‘close passes’ where the driver apparently gets 6 points and 300 quid fine within a week…….biglaugh

Any further info on this? Hard info? Or does the court order gagging the press mean an end to it?
