i prefer if they took out scamera out, and remove 6 point off my driving liesnce. and my money back.

I prefer that sign that tells you to slow down.
It works!!!!!!!

Indeed. When I got done by a Scamera 5 years ago on a road I hadn't driven before, the first thing I knew about it was a week later when the NIP arrived through the letterbox.

Q. How did that improve safety in that supposed accident blackspot??
A. It didn't. (But it did generate some revenue).

Now had there been one of those flashing signs to remind me I was going a little bit fast, I would have slowed down for the supposed 'accident blackspot'.

Whay do the powers that be not seem to grasp this simple concept??

Scamera's don't improve road safety!!

How many times have I seen a scamera on a road and wondered "is the limit 40 or 30?" in conditions where travelling at 40 creates no unseen risk to me or anyone/anything else?

I think having the limit displayed on the back of the scamera is a pretty good idea. No more wondering, or having to travel at 30 when the limit is actually 40.

But what I really like are the LED signs that tell you "30, slow down". I don't quite know why, but I find myself very ready and willing to comply with their request. Maybe it's because they've asked me and, being a generally co-operative citizen, I am more than happy to comply with the request.

confussing is it not. they have lowered so many limits, you used to be able to second guess the speed limit via type and condition of road, last weekend we were on a great stretch of road going up the Duxford, wide road 3 cars + - 10 foot of grass verge and then a path with speed limit of 40mph then as we travelled around a bend the limit lowered to 30 mph just before a camera as I said confussing and very sad I bet that camera get all its reenue late at night.
Or maybe I just like the flashing lights.
