On the way in to the airport, police volvo parked up on the dual carriageway just at the entrance, not doing much. Get to the T3 roundabout, another police volvo with a policeman standing at the side - signals for the car directly behind us to pull in.

ANPR type stuff? Didn't see any camera widgets.

Camera van was spotted on the bridge over the approach from the M56 a few weeks ago. That's the bridge that leads to T2.

Don't know if it was talivan or ANPR.

They were checking taxis. Some unscrupulous people are stealing private hire plates and putting them on cars worth 2p, uninsured and driven by illegal immigrants. Hush my mouth

That explains why I saw a black Porsche 911 cruising round Stockport the other day with private hire plates on then.........

oi cheaky Actually when I was in the Lakes I arrived at my hotel and some mad old biddy walked down the steps opened the passenger door and was about to get in. She then said "Oh are you not blue line then?" Her freind said "Edith they don't have Porsche taxis love come out of the way".

Saw the same thing at Southampton airport immediately after the original London bombings earlier in the month. Marked car with one plod at the entrance to the airport just observing the traffic coming in. I guess he was meant to pre-warn the armed chaps around the terminal of anything suspicious.
