Speed Camera an was out in Lamphey yesterday, parked up to catch people not slowing to the 20mph immediately after leaving the national speed limit area. Looks like enforcement has started.
Later in the day they moved to the bottom of the hill coming into Pembroke, again to catch people not slowing to 20mph by the signs
Get Waze ….. at least lots here warn you.Later in the day they moved to the bottom of the hill coming into Pembroke, again to catch people not slowing to 20mph by the signs

It was busy yesterday. Speed camera van was moving around a lot
Holyland road Pembroke mid morning then Upper Lamphey road at lunchtime - both to catch people not slowing to 20 at the sign, or going faster before.
Then parked on the pavement at Milton to catch people not slowing to 40, then moved onto the A477 layby past Carew to catch anyone going fast in the national speed limit part on the long straight.
Then the usual van was parked at Camarthen showground junction on the island. They are either there or in the layby opposite past the petrol station.
Get it from wherever you read your news but there's a piece doing the rounds placed by the conservatives saying they're raising a bill to have the 20mph abolished.
Typically the news articles are prioritising the idea of it being abolished ahead of the small print that since it is being raised by the conservatives it will not get any further as they are in the minority against the combined forces of Labour and the national socialists.

Correct. Its just noise. They dont and wont get a say. Just trying to generate votes. Labour dictate the agenda.
As Drakeford said "I decide what happens in Wales". Well did, anyway.

Who are the national socialists? I assume they mean Plaid Cymu (or yellow Tories as we know them as) Local road safety officer has advised that 20mph blanket change roll out paused due to guidance received that there is a pending strategy review…. They supposedly dont want to pay to change signs twice.
So our tiny village is still 30mph whilst local main trunk roads at 20mph
Piss up in a brewery springs to mind

In Wales? The roll out has already happened...So our tiny village is still 30mph whilst local main trunk roads at 20mph

Nope, in Pembs they've said the blanket roll out (words used safety officer in charge of roll out for county) has been stopped pending further central policy review. So its just on many of the main trunk roads, whilst lots of villages such as ours with no footpaths are still at 30mph.gareth h said:

That's the default regardless of signage. So the placing of new 20 mph signs isn't necessary. Now, if the old 30 mph signs are still in place they would be a reasonable excuse for that stretch of road, but not side streets.

"Mr Skates said a “national listening programme” will be rolled out to find out what councils, businesses, residents want to see from transport in general, and 20mph in particular. This will include listening to the views of children – a crucial voice in the debate, he said."
Jesus christ.
Presumably if the child says "yeeey, I love it when my dad drives fast" is the minister going to put a tick in the box for changing the 20mph to 60mph?
