In fairness, that road has so many daft 30 limits that everyone just ignores them. So they stick a van in occasionally to catch everyone. Smart business decision

Which is why precision in the placement of the scammera is so important. If it appears to have been located just inside a speed reduction, it's also important to determine at what point the "offence" was detected (assuming the recorded speed was at or under the higher limit) - Streaky

In the letter they sent, its prescise location was told.. ha! was about 5 yds away from a fixed GATSO that's been there for years. I assume they're trying to stop late brakers from shooting up to it & pressing hard on the brakes. Quite annoying as its a nice downhill run towards it to.

Can't you string this out a bit more...you only need 6 months from the date of the offence and they can't do you for it.

Looks like you've only got a month and a half to go.

I suggest a letter (sent as late as possible) asking to see the photo(s) as you are unsure who was driving. This might give you another two weeks...then maybe asking for an extra couple of weeks as you think the driver might have been Mr X but he's away on holiday, etc., etc.
